A metallic brown Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, once owned by Steve McQueen, the famous Hollywood actor, was sold on last friday for $2.31 millions. The auction was done by Christie's auctioneers. McQueen got the Ferrari as a gift from his first wife, Neile Adams in 1963 and used it for 10 years.
Mcqueen is famous through his films like "The Great Escape," "Bullitt," "Le Mans" and "The Thomas Crown Affair," and was nominated for oscar for his performance in "The Great Escape".
He died in 1980 following surgery for lung cancer, aged 50.
